The main question of the pedoconference-2020: not why, but how?

The V intra-University pedagogical conference was held in the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism on January 29. The event was headlined by Alexander Serov, adviser to the rector of the Higher school of Economics. The report of the Vice-rector for academic Affairs, doctor of pedagogical Sciences Almaz Galimov opened the traditional winter meeting of the academic staff of the Academy. He spoke about "New developments in the development of higher education in Russia".
- We live in conditions of continuous innovation, constant variability, which determine the future trajectory of the University's development, - said Almaz Galimov. It is possible that starting from September 1, 2020, the Volga Academy will begin training bachelors in the specialty " Coach in a sport. Teacher».
All trends that affect the quality of teachers ' work should be taken into account in the new program for the development of the University, - commented the rector of the Volga Academy Yusup Yakubov, - which is to be developed in 2020. In addition, in June, the Academy will host the international scientific Congress "Olympic sport and sport for all", which will become an indicator of solvency for each Department of the University. Professor Firuza Zotova, Vice-rector for research and international cooperation, spoke about the preparations for the prestigious forum.
The current moment is the most suitable for developing a new University development program. Previewing her speech on "managing educational programs vs managing educational trajectories", adviser to the rector of the Higher school of Economics, Alexandra Serova, said:
- We are at a breaking point-at the moment of transition to a new educational paradigm... we have finally reached the point where state structures - including the Ministry of education-recognize that "educational program" is not equal to "direction of training", and especially not equal to "profession".
Promotion of "educational programs" to leading roles in the system of higher education institutions, related structural changes and redistribution of functions that provide the University with the necessary flexibility and variability in relations with students, as well as "fine tuning" in the face of constantly changing demand for educational services... All this will allow classical universities to stand in competition with the growing online education. The main" ally " of educational programs in this struggle is individual educational trajectories that allow the University to create an original route to the diploma for each student. Universities have yet to adapt to all these innovations.
- For many universities, the transition to the management of educational programs is a certain difficulty, - says Serova.
One of the most important conditions for successful adaptation to the new reality is the organization of new communications between departments and employees. Alexandra Vladimirovna was able to make sure that such connections are formed in the Volga Academy during the conference. After the plenary session, she attended all the master classes, round tables and seminars announced in the conference program. One of them was a master class by the Director of the largest Russian electronic library resource "LAN" Yuri Elsky. The Moscow guest spoke about how the information and educational environment of its electronic library system can become an effective tool for scientific and educational activities of the University. Other sections of the conference also found interested listeners. Two of them analyzed the Academy's experience in conducting classes and tests in English. The moderators of these sections were the Dean of the faculty of service and tourism RESEDA Khadiullina and the head of the Department of foreign languages and linguistics Venera Volchkova. Head of the newly formed Department of pedagogy and psychology, Professor Olga Kalimullina made her debut at the Academy with the theme of the round table "Vectors of pedagogical thought in the field of physical culture and sports". The discussion of the requirements for the preparation and protection of final qualifying works for the educational program "Sport" under the leadership of associate Professor of the Department of theory and methods of gymnastics Tatyana Zayachuk turned out to be lively and direct. And at the master class of the head of the Department of socio-economic and humanitarian disciplines Alik Salimov "the Language of culture-the language of sport", participants plunged into the world of images of great artists…
- I can't say that I often manage to attend such events, - Alexandra Serova shared her impressions. - I like to watch how teachers of one University are engaged in strategic planning. It is important when common meanings are formed, when departments share with each other what they live by. The topics of the master classes also seemed to me sharp and burning. And WRC, and the teaching of the English language today is really a concern for many... I think that many people would like to attend such master classes at HSE as well. We have such conferences held in our faculties. And if we were talking about educational programs today, then teachers of the same program should see each other, discuss such things, and not sit in their offices.
In addition, you have a very engaged and motivated audience. It is felt that people are concerned about changes with a certain degree of anxiety. But in a positive way. They ask the question, not "why is all this done?", and "how will everything happen?"The people involved are ready to change and do something for the University. Overall, the Academy is impressive! The Universiade has given you a good opportunity for development. It's great that you took advantage of this and created research units that conduct real research. The educational environment is influenced by many things – even the arrangement of tables and chairs in the classroom. With chairs pinned to the floor, it will be difficult to organize group work. You have a student space in the library, and there is a room where you can perform a task at the computer. Large spaces and high ceilings inside the building also give a sense of personal freedom. I was also impressed by the stand with the names of the record holders of races on the stairs to the 12th floor. This is also an element of the educational environment. I like to notice such details.
