Three "academicians" are going to the world ski Championships

Students of the Volga region Academy of sports Denis Filimonov, Sergey Ardashev and Hristina Matsokina will perform at the world Junior ski Championships, which will be held in the German city of Oberwisenthal from February 28 to March 8.
Denis Filimonov, a 2nd-year student of the faculty of sports, was selected for the national team of the country based on his performance in the all-Russian competitions held in Kirovo-Chepetsk last week. Denis won the sprint free style race and was second in the 30-League distance (mass start, free style). We also note the successful performance of master's student Olga Kucheruk in Kirovo-Chepetsk, who won bronze in the sprint and 10-kilometer race.
In addition to Denis Filimonov, Academy students Sergey Ardashev and Hristina Matsokina, who competed at the world Cup in Oberstdorf, Germany, at the end of January, together with master's student Yana Kirpichenko and graduate student Andrey Larkov, will perform as part of the Russian Junior team at the world championship. Ardashev and Matsokina, by the way, will not be allowed to participate in the all-Russian cross-country skiing competition "VI all-Russian winter Universiade", which will be held from 18 to 25 February in Krasnoyarsk.
