All non-resident students of the Volga Region University live in the residential cluster on the territory of the Universiade Village. These are 8 multi-storey residential buildings with a total area of 86 thousand sq. m., with a total number of seats – 3700.
Students are provided with places in rooms for 3-4 people. Each room has a kitchen and a bathroom (toilet, shower). The cost of living in 2022-2023 will be approximately 650 rubles per month (period of license is 10 months).
The Universiade Village is a completely new format of a complex for Russia, designed for students to live, study, work and have active recreation. The residential complex is located in the Volga region district of Kazan and borders with the streets of Zorge, Parina, Mavlyutova and Pobedy Avenue. The microdistrict is served by public city transport - shuttle bus number 47 and trolleybus number 8. Travel time to the city center is 45 minutes. Not far from the Universiade Village there is the Prospekt Pobedy metro station. Within walking distance from the Universiade Village there are also sports facilities of the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism - the Burevestnik swimming pool, the Zilant sports complex, the Badminton Center, the Tennis Academy, and the Gymnastics Center.
The Universiade village was built as a student town, which today is the largest project of this level in Russia.
The Universiade Village has been declared a "Health Area" with strict internal regulations. Together with representatives of universities, active social and educational work with students is being carried out, the purpose of which is to create a high moral and ethical image of the Kazan student.
