On February 9-15 2014 a group of students from the Volga Region Academy of Sport and Tourism will go for study placement to Lancashire. One of the international partners of the Academy – the University of Central Lancashire, which is situated in Preston and specializes in sport – realizes the exchange program for students and reaching staff. The first visit of a group of teachers from Central Lancashire happened in March 2012. In April 2014 a group of students from the UK will visit the Academy. The interest of the British in Kazan is connected with joint video classes with active participation of students and teachers of both universities.
Within the forthcoming visit the students of the Academy will have an excursion along the university, participate in seminars with the students and teachers of the British university and visit the sports objects in Preston and Manchester, which are the heritage of the Commonwealth Games. The English colleagues will share their resources and methods which they use for attracting the attention of the locals, solving social problems and health problems of the citizens on example of Preston.
50 % of the expenses for the trip will be paid by the Academy, including flight, accommodation in campus and food. The rest should be paid by students themselves, including visa. The main requirement for students is conversational English language skills.
The group is formed at the international department, room 1004, tel. (843) 2949050, Veronika Gaivoronskaya, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
