Egor Lebedev: the experience of the Academy should be transferred to the Federal level

Director General of the Special Olympics of Russia Egor Lebedev visited the Volga region Academy of sports on a study visit.
Earlier, the honored guest of the University served as Vice-President of the Special Olympics of Russia (Special Olympics International — an international organization dealing with the organization of sports events for people with mental disabilities) and headed the Department of adaptive physical culture and sports in the Ministry of Sports of Russia. So, he knows about the problems of the movement firsthand.
As part of the working trip, Egor Lebedev discussed with representatives of the Executive Committee of the city the issues of holding the all-Russian swimming tournament "let's Win together"in Kazan next summer. The founders of the regional branch of the all-Russian public organization "all-Russian Federation of sports of persons with intellectual disabilities" in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tatarstan Republican branch of the Special Olympics of Russia, Vice-rector for administrative work and social development of the Volga Academy Ilshat Faizullin and head of the Department of adaptive physical culture and life safety Larisa Parfenova conducted a tour of the educational building of the Volga Academy.
Experience allows us to talk about the success of the development of this direction in the University. Such projects of the profile Department as "Sportline" and "Sports Express" have already received the support of the presidential grants Fund of Russia and Rosmolodezh. Much attention is paid to work with students who as volunteers work out professional skills at the events of these and other projects.
"The Academy provides students with a lot of opportunities for development," Egor Lebedev shared his impressions of the visit to the University. - It's great that many things are available to the guys absolutely for free. And the experience of implementing adaptive physical culture is very positive, it must necessarily be broadcast, transferred to the Russian level. Grant support for your initiatives speaks not only about the quality of the projects themselves, but also about their demand. We will also use your experience and actively involve the Volga region Academy in solving common problems."
